Ca 125 Blood Test Ovarian Cyst What Are Common Causes For False-positive CA-125 Serum Levels?

What are common causes for false-positive CA-125 Serum levels? - ca 125 blood test ovarian cyst

What are the most common causes of false-positive CA-125 serum levels?
The CA-125 blood test is sometimes used as a screening tool for ovarian cancer has a high rate of false positives. Some possible conditions are false alarms associated fibroids, endometriosis, pancreatitis, liver disease, inflammatory bowel diseases and benign ovarian cysts. I want to associate a complete list of all conditions to false positive results. I searched Google and Yahoo, but I'm not satisfied with the outcome. I seem to recall that rheumatoid arthritis is also associated .... eg.

If you can, please give a complete list. Thanks

The AC-125 are shown is not and should never be prosecuted as such. It may also be a complete list of what you have a false positive reason, but there is little need for such a list in a medical institution can not trust the doctors' lists. Any irritation in the stomach can cause a positive result. It is particularly difficult in postmenopausal women (success rate 50%), endometriosis, early pregnancy, hormonal fluctuations, is also normal, can lead to elevated CA-125 degrees. Therefore, a full list can be long.
